Development of Integrated E-Voting System to Increase the Effectiveness and Transparency of General Elections Muria Kudus University

The rapid advancement of technology has enabled the development of electronic voting systems to support democratic processes, particularly in educational institutions. This study presents the design and implementation of an e-voting system for the General Elections at Muria Kudus University. The waterfall methodology developed the system through stages including requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and literature review to ensure the relevance and accuracy of the system requirements. The system was designed using Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams and implemented using PHP and MySQL. Functionality testing was conducted using the black box method, and results showed that all system features performed according to specifications. The implemented e-voting system enhances transparency, reduces manual errors, minimizes potential manipulation, and improves student participation by offering a user-friendly and accessible voting platform. This solution supports an efficient and accountable electoral process within academic environments.
